NEW SOS Choir: Border Belles in Ross on Wye!
It's time for some BIG news. As of 21st June, all restrictions in the UK will be lifted which, we hope, means singing too! Is it FINALLY time to get back to singing together in person??
Where did we get this information?
IF the government's roadmap to reopening permits, we will be starting small as we find our feet again, with just two choirs planned for the foreseeable future. Many of you will know that our Founder, Emma, had terrible problems with her voice this last year (thank you, COVID) and almost completely lost her ability to sing. Emma will therefore be cutting down her own choirs from 4 to just 1: the NEW Border Belles in Ross on Wye.
We will also be relaunching our choir in Leominster, with veteran conductor Colin Hales.
The proposed groups therefore are:
1) Sing out Strong Ross on Wye (WOMEN ONLY) – conducted by Emma and informally called the “Border Belles”. This will be on a Wednesday night from 7.30-9.00pm starting 23rd June (venue tbc). This is the ONLY choir Emma will be conducting so if you sang with her before in Hereford, Monmouth, Tewkesbury or Cinderford and are eager to do so again, then we urge you to come along to Ross on Wye.
2) Sing out Strong Leominster (MIXED) – if you’re in the north of the county, then Colin will be your conductor. This will be on a Tuesday night in Leominster, N. Herefordshire. Colin is a fantastic and experienced conductor and will run a wonderful choir in Leominster.
