How often are rehearsals?
Sing out Strong: Choirs run in four periods throughout the year, each period having six rehearsals, totalling 24 rehearsals a year.
This means that you’ll usually attend twice a month, e.g. always on the 1st and 3rd Thursday or always on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday. That makes it easy to work out when rehearsals will be.
The four periods are:
1. Jan/Feb/Mar
2. Apr/May/Jun
3. Jul/Aug/Sept
4. Oct/Nov/Dec.

What do I get for my money?
A professional conductor who ensures you learn material and perform as a choir as well as possible; all music and singalong learning tracks; access to our members’ forum; regular choir socials and incredible performance opportunities.
What do you sing?
Sing out Strong is the UK’s first family of wellbeing choirs. That means we want all of our sessions to be uplifting and leave you with a song in your heart and a smile on your face. All our songs are chosen deliberately for their inspirational messages, their upbeat rhythms and their positive nature. We do not just sing pop songs, rather we try to give you a more well-rounded repertoire that supports our ethos and ensures there’s something for everyone. Be prepared to learn gospel alongside African and rock alongside folk!
What else do you do?
Twice a year, all the Sing out Strong: Choirs come together for a massed-choir gala concert in aid of a mental health charity. You'll also be given the opportunity to perform locally with your own choir and to attend choir socials and workshops throughout the year.
Will you make me sing on my own?
Never - unless you want to.
Do I have to do an audition?
Absolutely not! You do not need to audition for any of our choirs. As long as you enjoy singing then you’re extremely welcome at Sing out Strong.
Do I need to be able to read music?
Not at all! Even though you may be given "real" music in your hands, everything is taught by ear and then followed up with singalong rehearsal tracks.
Do I have to perform?
Nope. You can just come along to practice for a good sing. But we believe you won't be able to resist a concert :)
What if I want to leave my choir?
You must tell us at the start of a period if you wish to leave at the end of that period. This is to allow for the conductors to better plan for their forthcoming sessions. If you just disappear without a word then you will be charged for the current period and may also incur fees for future periods too.
We do understand, however, that circumstances can suddenly change, and if for any reason you cannot pay your fees or you must leave choir immediately, then please contact us and we will do our best to wipe any outstanding charges, where applicable.
